Circle Circus

The set Circle Circus wasn't my favorite at first. But, it's growing on me quickly. It's very versatile!

This first card is a fall card. Very simple but pretty! The colors I used are Pear Pizzazz, Tangerine Tango, and Concord Crush.

I love using sets like this for holiday cards. Here is a Christmas card using this great set! I also love this color combination. I've used it in a previous project here on my blog. The colors are Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip, and So Saffron. I also used the set Many Merry Messages for the sentiment.
Thanks for coming by to look at my projects today. My Thanksgiving ideas are coming up soon. Can you believe it?! Almost Thanksgiving. Wow.

Thanks for visiting!

Have a Great day!

Fall Medallion

This card was made using the background stamp Medallion. I also used the Leaves #2 die for the Big Shot. I embossed the leaves using the Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing folder, the Finial Press Textured Impressions Embossing folder, and the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing folder.

I inked the stamp with So Saffron classic ink, then rocked the Cajun Craze classic ink pad around the edges, then using a Sponge Dauber, I inked on some Perfect Plum classic ink. I stamped the saying "thankful thoughts of you" from the Grateful Greetings stamp set in perfect plum over the Medallion image.

I like how this turned out, a simple card, but nice.

Halloween Week 4

This will be my last Halloween Post for the year. Awww, I know, right?! But that means we get closer to Christmas! YIPPEE!

I decided to make a treat container for this last post. I used our Candy Wrapper Big Shot Die, embossed it with the Web embossing folder, glittered up a bat that I punched out and covered in glue, added a brad and some ribbon and look what a cute package you get!

I just lo-ove that green glittery bat! GAWGEOUS! Glitter is so messy, but look at the results you get! I altered the Candy Wrapper, I made the bottom flat, and I didn't twist the top, I just closed the flaps together with a Glimmer Brad.

Thanks for visiting today, keep coming back to see the fall projects I have in store for you.

Supplies
Cardstock: Basic Black
Accessories: Candy Wrapper Big Shot Die, Big Shot, Bitty Bat Punch, Fine Supernova Stampin' Glitter (pack of 5 colors), Raven 1/2" Lace Trim, In Color Glimmer Brads

Falling Leaves and a Color Challenge

I wanted to use the set Falling Leaves and was thinking of a color combination. So, I found this color combo at the Color Throwdown blog. Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron. YUMMY! What a combination!

I really love these colors together. The combination would be great for a Christmas card...I may get working on that!

For this second card, I decided to do more texture. So, I used the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing folder. I also used Pear Pizzazz Poly-Stitched ribbon and Poppy Parade DSP from the Hostess In Color Designer Series paper pack.

I went with a Monochromatic look for this last card. I used Poppy Parade and a bit of Chocolate Chip cardstock. I used a wheel called Bright Blessings.

I hope you liked these cards and the color combination. I am going to work on a Christmas project with these same colors!

Thanks!!

Birthday Bakery

Today I made a card using our hostess set Birthday Bakery. It has some really cute images in it and some fun sayings.

This image is fun because you can color it, as I did here. Or you can stamp it on the white paper, then stamp again on patterned paper, cut out the bag, glue it on the white, and it's done! Paper peicing is so fun, I think I'm going to have to do a couple of posts featuring it!

The other supplies I used on this card are Real Red cardstock, Early Espresso cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Brights DSP Patterns Stack, Scallop edge punch, Bitty Buttons, and Real Red Grosgrain ribbon. I adhered the clear buttons with Crystal Effects. That's the best way I have found to use clear buttons, and not see the adhesive.

It's easy to earn this cute hostess set. Contact me to find out how!

ABC Holiday Bundle: Tags til Christmas and Decorative Label punch

I'm featuring today, the bundle Tags til Christmas and Decorative label punch. You recieve both for only $38.32 for woodmounted stamps and only $31.92 for clear mount stamps. (If you choose clear mount, you will need to purchase clear blocks)

I decided to create a Mini Pizza Box. I will post soon, a tutorial on how to create this box.

I made a belly band to go around the pizza box, and decorated the band with one of the stamps from the set and punched it out with the decorative label punch.

Inside there are five 3x3 cards that I decorated as well. All the stamped images are from the Tags til Christmas set. All the cards and box were made using Real Red cardstock, Garden Green cardstock, Chocolate Chip cardstock and Whisper White cardstock. On the box I used some Early Espresso Grosgrain ribbon.

I used the Ornament Punch and the Basic Adhesive Rhinestones on this card.

On this card, I used the Scallop Oval punch and the 3/4" x 5/16" Oval punch.

I punched out this cute Santa suit with the Large Tag punch!

I stamped "Do Not Open til Christmas" in Chocolate Chip ink, then punched it out with the 1" Circle punch.

This fun snowman was stamped in Real Red ink, then punched with the 1 3/4" circle punch. To make him extra fun, you could add some Dazzling Diamonds glitter with some 2Way glue!

I'm having a Holly Jolly Stamp Camp on November 13th at my house. This is one of the prizes that I will be giving away! If you are interested in coming to the Camp, contact me and let me know, and I will give you details.

More Clearance Rack

I wanted to showcase some more Clearance Rack items, so you can see the things you can do with the deeply discounted products.

Here is a card that I used the Seeing Spots Classy Brass Template, So Saffron 1/2" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, and the Fairy Tale Ribbons Originals. I clearly need practice with the embossing, but I think it still turned out pretty cute. I also used the stamp set Teeny Tiny Wishes for the greeting.

This second card features something really neat. It's called Canvas Cuts Accents & Elements. I stamped a whale from Fox & Friends onto the oval diecut, and "hello baby" From Teeny Tiny Wishes. I think this gives some nice texture to the card. I also used our Pacific Point 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and Corduroy Buttons.

This next card I used some old In Colors. These were some of my favorites! I used the In Color Textured Cardstock, In Color smooth Cardstock, Bermuda Bay Polkadot Ribbon, & Dusty Durango Polkadot Ribbon, from our Clearance Rack. Items that are not on clearance, but used here, are the 2 1/2" punch from the Holiday Mini, 1 3/4" punch, & the Artistic Etchings Stamp Set.

This last card's Clearance Rack items are: Button Latte, Soho Designer Hardware, and some Melon Mambo textured Cardstock from the In Color 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock. Items not on clearance are: Flight of the Butterfly and Baja Breeze cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed these Clearance Rack items! They are going fast!!

Thanks for visiting,

Heather

Last day for Clearance Rack!

Monday, October 18th is the last day to order from the Clearance Rack!

I made a card using our Big Felt Flurries (only $4.99!) and Little Felt Flurries. (only $5.99!)

You will want to get both sizes because that is how you get the layered snowflake look. The Little Flurries are more expensive because more come in a pack.

I use Crystal Effects to glue them together, then glue them on the page. That is my favorite adhesive for felt. I decided to add a little bling to the center of the smallest Flurry, by adding our Filigree brad and a Rhinestone Brad. Those two items are not on clearance but you could use our Corduroy Buttons in any color, Circle Designer Brads, or Build a Brad to get the same effect, and they are on clearance!

See how fun they are on a card! You could also just build one Snowflake and put it in the center of the card, then your supplies would go much further!

These flurries are also really cute on scrapbook pages. They come in Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, and Baja Breeze. So, they will match our current colors as well!

Thanks for visiting me, don't forget to go to my site and get your Clearance Rack items!

Halloween Week 3

I don't know how many of you have used our Stampin' wheels but they are great. We have pretty ones, cute ones, jolly ones, and spooky ones (plus lots more!)

I wanted to show how easy it is to create a card with a wheel as the only stamped image.
Here is my creation:

So, you see, it's easy to use a Stampin' wheel to make a fun card! You'll see more projects featuring wheels only in some of my upcoming posts. I promise my last week of Halloween project won't be a card! I'll do something fun! I'll also have to show you how I use my wheels, I don't use a handle! Stay tuned for that!

Today I used two challenges off of a couple of blogs I follow.

SSSC88 is a sketch challenge, and Curtain Call 51 is a color challenge. I struggled a little with the sketch (that's why it's called a challenge, cause it sometimes is for our brains!). But, after I found the color challenge, it was easy!

Autumn Spice

I've got a fun fall card for you today. I think it's just so pretty!

This card is made using the colors from the Autumn Spice Designer Series paper from the Holiday Mini. I added a little strip of the paper on the side of the card, but it does not do this DSP justice whatsoever! It's has gorgeous patterns and the thickness of it is wonderful!

The colors are: More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Early Espresso.

I hope you enjoyed this card! I've been featuring Halloween cards, but I made this card today and wanted to share it right away!

Flower Power Clean and Simple

I took on the challenge of using a sketch over at Clean and Simple Stamping. I also did a challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.

I made that flower! Yep, little ol' me! I learned to do this at Stampin' Up! Convention in July. You take a length of satin ribbon, cut one of the edges off, cut "fringes" about 1/2" apart, round the corners of those fringes, then heat it with a heat tool until the edges curl. Pretty huh?!

I was pretty proud that I did it and it turned out cute. I added a button to the center of mine, really because I cut the length too short! You can always fix a goof in the crafting world!

Thanks for checking out my post today. Have a good evening!

Heather

caffeine isn't a drug, it's a vitamin!

Today I chose to use a set that's never seen ink. It's called Morning Cup. I love coffee...love, love, love! I also have a love for tea, but not as much as coffee! Alas, I've banned myself from the coffee shop concoctions for awhile. It's only coffee from home right now. So this set helps me with my withdrawals. Okay, maybe not. :)

I also used the sketch challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary.

I love sitting with a hot cup of coffee or tea and looking online at cards people have created. It's part of my morning ritual.

I hope you enjoyed my card! Thanks for stopping by!

Melon Pear Parfait: Birthday Card

There was a challenge over at Pals Paper Arts that I wanted to try out. It was a color challenge. Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait. Now, when you see these colors, you'll see this wasn't much of a challenge. They are gorgeous together!
I wanted to show you something that wasn't Holiday related. So I decided to do a birthday card. I hope you enjoy it!

Clearance item Projects

I decided to make a couple of cute projects using some of the items that are on clearance right now.

Here is a super cute gift bag I made using the Bag w/Scallops Big Shot Die. Can't you just picture this on a gold charger on your Christmas-y dinner table?!

You can also use this for any other holiday. You can make the scallop circle into a bunny face, you can use it for Thanksgiving, Halloween, Birthday's...anything you can think of. Right now, it's only $13.99!!! That's a STEAL! It was priced at $34.95 originally. Such a good savings!

This next project is a place card. How cute is that little reindeer!? I'll post a tutorial on how to make him, he can go on a card, or on the bag from the first project. You can also do a large version of him and make him a gift tag or giftcard holder! I added some sparkle to his red nose using Stampin' Up's Red Chunky Essentials Glitter (108797 4 colors $15.95). I made the name tag using the Top Note Die (113463 $21.95) cut out of Real Red cardstock.

I used the Tulipe Big Shot Die to make his antlers and ears. It was originally priced at $21.95, it is now only $7.99! WOW!

Here are the the two together. I just loved making these projects! These items would also make great gifts for crafters, since they are at such a good price. Both dies are subject to availability. So, make sure you get yours fast!

Mojo Monday 159 - Fireside Christmas

This is a Mojo Monday sketch. I think it's such a versatile sketch. You can do anything with it!
I promise, I am going to try and make this the last Christmas card for a bit. Notice I said try. Hehehe.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my creation:

Dont you just love this set?! I took the time to color the image with markers, so that everything was it's own color. But, if you don't want to take the time to do that, you could easily make a gorgeous card by stamping this in a brown ink, then maybe just color the flames. I embossed the Old Olive layer with a beautiful embossing folder we have called Finial Press. It's great for Christmas cards, or any other occasion card you want to make. I also sponged the embossed layer for some depth and richness. I used our Top Note Die for the little piece at the bottom, it's trimmed up a bit.
Let's see what you can do with this sketch, I'd love to see your creations!
Supplies
Cardstock: Very Vanilla (item 101650), Old Olive (100702), Cherry Cobbler (119685), Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper (117159)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler (119669-pad 119681-marker), Old Olive (102277-pad 100079-marker), Pumpkin Pie marker (105115), Bravo Burgundy marker (105109), Night of Navy marker (100069), Soft Suede marker (120973), Basic Grey marker (120966)
Stamps: Fireside Christmas - Holiday Mini (121136 clear)
Accessories: Clear block H (118490), Clear block D (118485), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430),
1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch (119854), 1 1/4" Circle punch (119861), Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (113439), Finial Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (115963), Top Note Die (113463), Stamping Sponges (101610), Crop-a-Dile (108362), Basics Glimmer Brads (121003), Very Vanilla 1/5" Seam Binding - Holiday Mini (120999)
Again, thanks so much for coming to see me!

Halloween Week 1

This first Halloween card was inspired by Pals Paper Arts. I decided to play in their challenge this week. You can see it here. Their challenge is to use buttons...which I love!
I also decided to use a sketch from Splitcoast Stampers. I love participating in challenges, it really helps me get that creative bug again.

I got the colors from Stampin' Up!'s new Color Coach (item 121620). It's really helpful when you have one or two colors you want to work with, but aren't sure what to put with it.
I love this card, I think it's fun for Halloween without being a traditional Halloween look!

I also took a Tip from the Pal's Paper Arts blog, use a small sliver of cardstock to thread through your button, to match your colors! So, that's what is threaded through my Old Olive button. Fun, right!?

Supplies
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango (item 111349), Old Olive (100702), Soft Suede textured (119448), Tempting Turquoise (102067), Wisper White (100730)
Ink: Tangerine Tango (111834), Old Olive (102277), Soft Suede (115657)
Stamps: Season of Friendship - tree (111776), Aviary - owl (120462 clear), Teeny Tiny Wishes - sentiment (115370).
Accessories: Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder (120175), Clear Block B (117147), Designer Buttons - Brights (119747)

Thanks for visiting!
Heather :)

SSSC87

I found yet another blog that has challenges, and I decided to partake again. I think challenges are so fun, you get to play with a new idea, and see what other crafty people come up with!

I really like the sketch, you can see the challenge here. I also combined the sketch with another Splitcoast Stampers challenge, using browns and pinks together. I made a VERY non-traditional fall card. But I love it!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Sahara Sand (item 121043), Very Vanilla (101650), Soft Suede (115318), Pretty in Pink (100459)
Ink: Pretty in Pink (101301), Sahara Sand (105208), Soft Suede (115657), Early Espresso (119670)
Stamps: French Foliage - Holiday Mini (121166 clear)
Accessories: Hemp Twine (100982), Acrylic Block B (117147), Block D (118485), Gold Glow Smooch Spritz (118770), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430), Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch (119275)

See what project you can come up with, using brown and pink together!

The Paper Players: Monochromatic Card

I decided to participate in The Paper Players challenge, you can see it here. They asked that we create a monochromatic card, in the color's of our choice. I chose pink, because I also wanted to participate in a challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. They asked for us to create a pink Holiday card. Of course I chose Christmas! Since it is my favorite time of year. Contrary to popular belief, I think Christmas starts on Halloween. It does, doesn't it!? :)

I sponged Melon Mambo, on the piece of Melon Mambo cardstock after I embossed it with the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder, and after I tore that piece in half. Sponging just adds a bit of richness, that sometimes your cards need.

Supplies

Cardstock: Melon Mambo textured (119930), Regal Rose (105130), Blusing Bride (119796), Whisper White (100730)
Ink: Melon Mambo (115656), Regal Rose (105211), Blushing Bride (119786), Pink Pirouette (111838)
Stamps: Northern Hearts (hostess set from Holiday Mini - ask me how you can earn this set!) (121145 clear), Teeny Tiny Wishes - sentiment (115370)
Accessories: Clear Block C (118486), Silver Tinsel Trim - Holiday Mini (120994), Glimmber in Color Brads - Holiday Mini (121005), Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - Holiday Mini (120902), Blushing Bride 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon (119267), Modern Label punch (119849)

Thanks for visiting my Blog!
