Serene Snowflakes

I created this card for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge. I really love stamping snowflakes in non-traditional colors. The challenge was to use Wild Wasabi, Cherry Cobbler and Real Red.

I used the stamp set Serene Snowflakes. I also used the Tasteful Trim die, and added some Basic Pearls for texture. I really love Stampin' Up!'s Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, and added a little Very Vanilla taffeta (retired). I used this taffeta before I realized it was retired, in place of that you could use either Very Vanilla 1/8" Taffeta, Very Vanilla 1/4" Grosgrain, Very Vanilla Designer Velvet Ribbon, Very Vanilla 5/8 Satin Ribbon, or 5/8" Victoria Crochet Trim.

The patterned paper is from the Holly Berry Boquet Specialty Designer Series Paper. What's fun about this DSP is that it has some patterns that are GLITTERED!!! So pretty!

I hope you enjoyed my card, as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Thanks for visiting, see you soon!

FTL160 Stitched Stockings

I am really loving the items I decided to purchase from the Holiday Mini Catalog. Such as, Stitched Stockings! It's such a super cute stamp set! Very simple, but makes some really fun cards and gift tags!

I am also enjoying the Letters to Santa Designer Series Paper. The colors in the paper are so fun to play with!
The card base is Blushing Bride, I layered with Early Espresso. For some interest on the white layer that the stockings are on, I stamped with the cute Simple Snowflake Stamp. I also used a length of Old Olive 5/8" Satin Ribbon. I love the texture that the satin ribbon gives a card. It's very versatile! The sentiment is from the stamp set, Four the Holidays, and that is layered on Marina Mist cardstock.

Thank you for coming by and taking a look at my latest card!

Comfort & Joy

I love this set from the Holiday Mini, called Comfort & Joy. I love Christmas carols, and this set automatically puts Christmas songs in my head!

I created this card for MOJO209 sketch challenge, and for PP66 theme challenge. The card base is River Rock, layered with Bravo Burgundy and Wild Wasabi. I used the Snowflake Punch, the Basic Pearls Jewel Accents, and Dazzling Details.

I enjoyed making this card, I hope you enjoyed looking at it!

Thanks for stopping by!

PPA113 Beautiful Season

I created this card for PPA113. I decided I LOVE this card so much, it is going to be my 2011 Christmas card!

I really love the simplicity of the clear embossed bird image, and the turned sentiment. The jingle bell is a fun addition.

This stamp set is called Beautiful Season. The bird image was embossed with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder, using the Heat Tool

I used the Cherry Cobbler 3/8 Quilted Satin Ribbon from the Holiday Mini. I tied the Mini Jingle Bell to the ribbon with Linen Thread. I like the added strip of Early Espresso cardstock, just to add a bit of contrast to the Crumb Cake Cardstock

I embossed the Cherry Cobbler cardstock with the new Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, using my Big Shot. After it was embossed, I used a Sponge Dauber, and dabbed on a bit of Frost White Shimmer Paint, for some added glitz and sparkle. I really love that stuff, it's fun to use instead of an ink pad on stamped images!

I hope you enjoyed this card. I loved making it!

Thanks for visiting!

Merry & Type

I love this new set from Stampin' Up! called Merry & Type. It's so fun, yet so old fashioned looking!
I created this card using the Letters to Santa Designer Series Paper. It's got really cute prints included in the package.

Don't you love the colors in this card? I really like how the Designer Series Paper starts with traditional Christmas colors, and adds a twist with some non-traditional additions.

I used the Glimmer Brads, to match some of the colors in the DSP. I also used the Early Espresso 3/8" Quilted Satin Ribbon from the new Holiday Mini, and the Postage Stamp Punch. I backed the postage stamp punch with the 1 1/4" square punch, and backed that with the 1 3/8" square punch. Cardstock colors were Whisper White, Marina Mist, Textured Old Olive, and Early Espresso. I used the Stampin' Write Markers to color the ornaments different colors on the main image.

Visit My Website to order these an many other wonderful items. (I used the sketch from MOJO208 for this cute card!!)

Thanks for visiting! See you again soon.

Days of Christmas: Day 8

Can you believe we are already on Day 8 of my Days of Christmas blog posts?!

Amazing how time flies.

This card features the Hostess Stamp set Northern Hearts from the Holiday Mini Catalog. This set's so fun with this fun wreath, snowflakes and a cute little bird image. I love how there are some coordinating items in the mini that go with this set.

I used the Holly Jolly Designer Series Paper along with Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and the Deck the Halls Big Designer Buttons. I punched out a border with the Eyelet Border Punch. I cut out the circles with the Circle Scissor Plus and Glass Mat. I popped up the circle with dimensionals.

Come back tomorrow for great ideas. Thanks for stopping by!

Days of Christmas: Day 7

Today I am featuring a product from the Holiday Mini. It's the We Wish You a Merry Christmas Stampin' Sound card. We also have a Recordable Stampin' Sound card that you can record a message up to 10 seconds long. I decided to go with the pre-recorded card. It plays "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".

This is the inside of the card.

I used Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper. I'm not much of a vintage look person, but this DSP is gorgeous! I layered the DSP on Early Espresso cardstock and Crumb Cake cardstock. On the front of the card I stamped the sentiment "Peace on Earth" from the set Peaceful Season, in Cherry Cobbler, then the image of earth on a string in Always Artichoke. I used a little Very Vanilla Seam Binding, added an Artichoke button from the Deck the Halls Big Designer Buttons, and tied some Deck the Halls Fabric inside the button. I love that effect!

On the inside of the card, I used the sentiment from Christmas Greetings. I also added in some Silver Tinsel Trim ontop of the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding.

These cards are really fun, and you can create them for any occasion. They'd be great for a Birthday card, for someone that lives long distance.

Here is another idea for the Stampin' Sound card, from my Stampin' Up! website.

Thanks for stoppig by!

Days of Christmas: Day 6

I've decided to feature a stamp set and a Designer Series Paper. The set I am using today is called Season of Joy and the DSP is Candy Cane Christmas. I'm also adding in some of the Candy Cane Christmas fabric!

On this first card I used our Real Red 1/8" taffeta ribbon, Basic Pearls Jewel Accents and Clear Tinsel Trim. We have two colors of Tinsel Trim. Clear and Silver. The Silver is wired and the clear is not. Dont' you just love those polka dots?

This card was made using this tutorial. It's called an Easel Card. How much fun is this?! It was surprisingly easy. I used the Candy Cane Christmas fabric as I mentioned before. I tied it through one of the Candy Cane Big Designer Buttons! I love that look! I placed a Basic Pearl Jewel Accent inside the O of JOY on the image. (We have Big Designer buttons that match the Deck the Halls line in the Holiday Mini as well)

This card features a large piece of the Candy Cane Christmas DSP. I chose to emboss the poinsettia image on to Vellum Paper, cut it out with the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch, and glued it to another punched out scallop circle in Whisper White cardstock. I added some of the Glimmer brads in matching colors. I tied on some Poly-Stiched ribbon in Blushing Bride and popped up the poinsettia. I also wanted to emboss my sentiment, so I inked it in Versamark first, then Baja Breeze, then embossed it with Clear embossing powder.

This last card is featuring the candy cane stripe pattern from the Candy Cane Christmas DSP. I like the simplicity of the stripes. I randomly stamped the swirl image on Garden Green cardstock along with the teenie little flower image. I stamped the swirl again in Real Red on Whisper White cardstock, then stamped the snowflake in Blushing Bride and again in Baja Breeze and punched them out with the 1" circle punch and the 1 1/4" circle punch. Tie a knot in the 1/8" Real Red Taffeta and the Clear Tinsel Trim, and it looks like an ornament!

I hope you enjoyed these cards. Come back tomorrow for more Christmas fun!

Days of Christmas: Day 4

For today's day of Christmas, I am featuring a new product from our Holiday Mini catalog. It's called Waffle Paper. I'm also giving a peek at the Jolly Holiday DSP in our Idea Book & Catalog.

This card shows the silver waffle paper under the strip of DSP. Isn't it pretty! There's a shiny side and a more dull side to the paper, so you can use the dull side if you don't want it shiny.

This is a gift bag featuring the gold waffle paper. I thought it would look nice as a layer for the image I decided to use on the bag. You can put a small gift, or a cellophane bag with cookies or homemade candy in this. I love how versatile this bag is!

I hope you like the projects in today's post! I know I enjoyed making them!

Happy Holidays,
Heather

Days of Christmas: Day 3

I'm so glad you stopped by today!

I'm going to show you a couple of cards. They both feature the super cute Designer Series Paper: Candy Cane Christmas. I think this paper is so fun because it's using non-traditional colors for Christmas. The colors in this DSP are: Baja Breeze, Real Red, Garden Green, and Blushing Bride.

On this first card, I wanted to show you how you can also use a Stampin' wheel as your stamped image. This card is nice and flat so you don't have all that extra postage like you with with brads and buttons! That little touch of ribbon is the perfect accent.

Aren't the images on that wheel pretty? I just love it!

This second card is also using Candy Cane Christmas DSP, but I also used a stamp set called Jolly Bingo Bits. It has 24 little images in the set, perfect for a countdown calendar! Besides the 4 I have on the card , there is a penguin, a jingle bell, a candle, an ornament, a stocking, a snowflake, a candycane, a tree, a reindeer, a snowman, a present, holly, a gingerbread man, a star, a cardinal, mittens, a bell, a candy, and a poinsettia.

See how fun that DSP is?! I also love how simple these cards are. So fast to make and easy to send.

Thank you so much! See you tomorrow!

Days of Christmas: Day 1

Welcome to my Days of Christmas Celebration! We'll have 25 days in all, so I hope you are ready for this!

Today, I've decided to feature a stamp set. This set is from the Holiday Mini Catalog. It's called Tags til Christmas. Not only can you make tags for your gifts, but you can make Christmas cards among other projects.

Here is a card made with the set. I chose the Snowman image from the set, I used a marker to ink it up, because I did not want the "to:/from:" to show, I just wanted the image. I also used a really cute paper in the mini catalog called, Candy Cane Christmas. You'll see more of this paper in future posts. That shimmer you see on the Snowman image, I used our Dazzling Diamonds glitter and 2way glue pen, it's so sparkly!

*I'll posts supplies at the bottom of the post*

This fun project I made is a treat package, or you can use it to wrap something small like earrings, a necklace, or a gift card. I used our Scallop envelope Big Shot die to make the box, with a little alteration. I'll post a tutorial of how to create this later.

Here are four 3x3 gift cards I made. Aren't they so small and cute?! I love little cute things. I've packaged them in a mini brown paper sack with a gorgeous bow. I cut a bit of the top of the bag off, then used my Scallop Border punch to make a fun edge! Isn't that fun?!

How would you like to win the set of four 3x3 cards in the cute brown bag?! Leave a comment on my blog about your favorite Christmas tradition, and I'll draw for you to win. You have until December 1st to post. One entry per person, please.

Circle Circus

The set Circle Circus wasn't my favorite at first. But, it's growing on me quickly. It's very versatile!

This first card is a fall card. Very simple but pretty! The colors I used are Pear Pizzazz, Tangerine Tango, and Concord Crush.

I love using sets like this for holiday cards. Here is a Christmas card using this great set! I also love this color combination. I've used it in a previous project here on my blog. The colors are Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip, and So Saffron. I also used the set Many Merry Messages for the sentiment.
Thanks for coming by to look at my projects today. My Thanksgiving ideas are coming up soon. Can you believe it?! Almost Thanksgiving. Wow.

Thanks for visiting!

Last day for Clearance Rack!

Monday, October 18th is the last day to order from the Clearance Rack!

I made a card using our Big Felt Flurries (only $4.99!) and Little Felt Flurries. (only $5.99!)

You will want to get both sizes because that is how you get the layered snowflake look. The Little Flurries are more expensive because more come in a pack.

I use Crystal Effects to glue them together, then glue them on the page. That is my favorite adhesive for felt. I decided to add a little bling to the center of the smallest Flurry, by adding our Filigree brad and a Rhinestone Brad. Those two items are not on clearance but you could use our Corduroy Buttons in any color, Circle Designer Brads, or Build a Brad to get the same effect, and they are on clearance!

See how fun they are on a card! You could also just build one Snowflake and put it in the center of the card, then your supplies would go much further!

These flurries are also really cute on scrapbook pages. They come in Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, and Baja Breeze. So, they will match our current colors as well!

Thanks for visiting me, don't forget to go to my site and get your Clearance Rack items!

Clearance item Projects

I decided to make a couple of cute projects using some of the items that are on clearance right now.

Here is a super cute gift bag I made using the Bag w/Scallops Big Shot Die. Can't you just picture this on a gold charger on your Christmas-y dinner table?!

You can also use this for any other holiday. You can make the scallop circle into a bunny face, you can use it for Thanksgiving, Halloween, Birthday's...anything you can think of. Right now, it's only $13.99!!! That's a STEAL! It was priced at $34.95 originally. Such a good savings!

This next project is a place card. How cute is that little reindeer!? I'll post a tutorial on how to make him, he can go on a card, or on the bag from the first project. You can also do a large version of him and make him a gift tag or giftcard holder! I added some sparkle to his red nose using Stampin' Up's Red Chunky Essentials Glitter (108797 4 colors $15.95). I made the name tag using the Top Note Die (113463 $21.95) cut out of Real Red cardstock.

I used the Tulipe Big Shot Die to make his antlers and ears. It was originally priced at $21.95, it is now only $7.99! WOW!

Here are the the two together. I just loved making these projects! These items would also make great gifts for crafters, since they are at such a good price. Both dies are subject to availability. So, make sure you get yours fast!

Mojo Monday 159 - Fireside Christmas

This is a Mojo Monday sketch. I think it's such a versatile sketch. You can do anything with it!
I promise, I am going to try and make this the last Christmas card for a bit. Notice I said try. Hehehe.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my creation:

Dont you just love this set?! I took the time to color the image with markers, so that everything was it's own color. But, if you don't want to take the time to do that, you could easily make a gorgeous card by stamping this in a brown ink, then maybe just color the flames. I embossed the Old Olive layer with a beautiful embossing folder we have called Finial Press. It's great for Christmas cards, or any other occasion card you want to make. I also sponged the embossed layer for some depth and richness. I used our Top Note Die for the little piece at the bottom, it's trimmed up a bit.
Let's see what you can do with this sketch, I'd love to see your creations!

The Paper Players: Monochromatic Card

I decided to participate in The Paper Players challenge, you can see it here. They asked that we create a monochromatic card, in the color's of our choice. I chose pink, because I also wanted to participate in a challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. They asked for us to create a pink Holiday card. Of course I chose Christmas! Since it is my favorite time of year. Contrary to popular belief, I think Christmas starts on Halloween. It does, doesn't it!? :)

I sponged Melon Mambo, on the piece of Melon Mambo cardstock after I embossed it with the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder, and after I tore that piece in half. Sponging just adds a bit of richness, that sometimes your cards need.
