Days of Christmas: Day 8

Can you believe we are already on Day 8 of my Days of Christmas blog posts?!

Amazing how time flies.

This card features the Hostess Stamp set Northern Hearts from the Holiday Mini Catalog. This set's so fun with this fun wreath, snowflakes and a cute little bird image. I love how there are some coordinating items in the mini that go with this set.

I used the Holly Jolly Designer Series Paper along with Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and the Deck the Halls Big Designer Buttons. I punched out a border with the Eyelet Border Punch. I cut out the circles with the Circle Scissor Plus and Glass Mat. I popped up the circle with dimensionals.

Come back tomorrow for great ideas. Thanks for stopping by!

Days of Christmas: Day 7

Today I am featuring a product from the Holiday Mini. It's the We Wish You a Merry Christmas Stampin' Sound card. We also have a Recordable Stampin' Sound card that you can record a message up to 10 seconds long. I decided to go with the pre-recorded card. It plays "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".

This is the inside of the card.

I used Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper. I'm not much of a vintage look person, but this DSP is gorgeous! I layered the DSP on Early Espresso cardstock and Crumb Cake cardstock. On the front of the card I stamped the sentiment "Peace on Earth" from the set Peaceful Season, in Cherry Cobbler, then the image of earth on a string in Always Artichoke. I used a little Very Vanilla Seam Binding, added an Artichoke button from the Deck the Halls Big Designer Buttons, and tied some Deck the Halls Fabric inside the button. I love that effect!

On the inside of the card, I used the sentiment from Christmas Greetings. I also added in some Silver Tinsel Trim ontop of the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding.

These cards are really fun, and you can create them for any occasion. They'd be great for a Birthday card, for someone that lives long distance.

Here is another idea for the Stampin' Sound card, from my Stampin' Up! website.

Thanks for stoppig by!

Days of Christmas: Day 6

I've decided to feature a stamp set and a Designer Series Paper. The set I am using today is called Season of Joy and the DSP is Candy Cane Christmas. I'm also adding in some of the Candy Cane Christmas fabric!

On this first card I used our Real Red 1/8" taffeta ribbon, Basic Pearls Jewel Accents and Clear Tinsel Trim. We have two colors of Tinsel Trim. Clear and Silver. The Silver is wired and the clear is not. Dont' you just love those polka dots?

This card was made using this tutorial. It's called an Easel Card. How much fun is this?! It was surprisingly easy. I used the Candy Cane Christmas fabric as I mentioned before. I tied it through one of the Candy Cane Big Designer Buttons! I love that look! I placed a Basic Pearl Jewel Accent inside the O of JOY on the image. (We have Big Designer buttons that match the Deck the Halls line in the Holiday Mini as well)

This card features a large piece of the Candy Cane Christmas DSP. I chose to emboss the poinsettia image on to Vellum Paper, cut it out with the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch, and glued it to another punched out scallop circle in Whisper White cardstock. I added some of the Glimmer brads in matching colors. I tied on some Poly-Stiched ribbon in Blushing Bride and popped up the poinsettia. I also wanted to emboss my sentiment, so I inked it in Versamark first, then Baja Breeze, then embossed it with Clear embossing powder.

This last card is featuring the candy cane stripe pattern from the Candy Cane Christmas DSP. I like the simplicity of the stripes. I randomly stamped the swirl image on Garden Green cardstock along with the teenie little flower image. I stamped the swirl again in Real Red on Whisper White cardstock, then stamped the snowflake in Blushing Bride and again in Baja Breeze and punched them out with the 1" circle punch and the 1 1/4" circle punch. Tie a knot in the 1/8" Real Red Taffeta and the Clear Tinsel Trim, and it looks like an ornament!

I hope you enjoyed these cards. Come back tomorrow for more Christmas fun!

Days of Christmas: Day 5 (giveaway!)

Today I have a gift idea for you. How many times have you been invited to a holiday party and needed a hostess gift, or someone shows up, hands you a gift, and you didn't have anything on hand for them?

This gift idea is perfect for situations like that. It's a set of 4 Christmas Cards with matching envelopes, packaged in a sweet little acetate gift box.
Here are the four cards. I didn't photograph the envelopes.
This is the gift box. Cute huh?
Now, do you see that little green Rhinestone in the middle of that scallop piece? No, Stampin' Up! doesn't sell green Rhinestones, we have clear. But, with the magic of Permananet Markers, you can have any color Rhinestones you wish! Stampin' Up! markers will not work for this because they are waterbased and will just wipe off. You need Bic Mark It markers or Sharpie markers.
You just color on top and all around the Rhinestone and viola! You will see me feature our Rhinestones as different colors, I'm going to play with our Pearls and see how they come out! Keep a look out for those posts!
Would you like to win this box set of Christmas Cards? Place an order with me, either on my website, call or email me your order, and you will be entered to win this set. If your order is $50 or more, you'll get two entries! Good luck!!
Thanks for visiting, see you tomorrow!

Days of Christmas: Day 4

For today's day of Christmas, I am featuring a new product from our Holiday Mini catalog. It's called Waffle Paper. I'm also giving a peek at the Jolly Holiday DSP in our Idea Book & Catalog.

This card shows the silver waffle paper under the strip of DSP. Isn't it pretty! There's a shiny side and a more dull side to the paper, so you can use the dull side if you don't want it shiny.

This is a gift bag featuring the gold waffle paper. I thought it would look nice as a layer for the image I decided to use on the bag. You can put a small gift, or a cellophane bag with cookies or homemade candy in this. I love how versatile this bag is!

I hope you like the projects in today's post! I know I enjoyed making them!

Happy Holidays,
Heather

Days of Christmas: Day 3

I'm so glad you stopped by today!

I'm going to show you a couple of cards. They both feature the super cute Designer Series Paper: Candy Cane Christmas. I think this paper is so fun because it's using non-traditional colors for Christmas. The colors in this DSP are: Baja Breeze, Real Red, Garden Green, and Blushing Bride.

On this first card, I wanted to show you how you can also use a Stampin' wheel as your stamped image. This card is nice and flat so you don't have all that extra postage like you with with brads and buttons! That little touch of ribbon is the perfect accent.

Aren't the images on that wheel pretty? I just love it!

This second card is also using Candy Cane Christmas DSP, but I also used a stamp set called Jolly Bingo Bits. It has 24 little images in the set, perfect for a countdown calendar! Besides the 4 I have on the card , there is a penguin, a jingle bell, a candle, an ornament, a stocking, a snowflake, a candycane, a tree, a reindeer, a snowman, a present, holly, a gingerbread man, a star, a cardinal, mittens, a bell, a candy, and a poinsettia.

See how fun that DSP is?! I also love how simple these cards are. So fast to make and easy to send.

Thank you so much! See you tomorrow!
Heather

I'm going to challenge you to see what you can create either with any of the color combos I used or a sketch I used.

Days of Christmas: Day 1

Welcome to my Days of Christmas Celebration! We'll have 25 days in all, so I hope you are ready for this!

Today, I've decided to feature a stamp set. This set is from the Holiday Mini Catalog. It's called Tags til Christmas. Not only can you make tags for your gifts, but you can make Christmas cards among other projects.

Here is a card made with the set. I chose the Snowman image from the set, I used a marker to ink it up, because I did not want the "to:/from:" to show, I just wanted the image. I also used a really cute paper in the mini catalog called, Candy Cane Christmas. You'll see more of this paper in future posts. That shimmer you see on the Snowman image, I used our Dazzling Diamonds glitter and 2way glue pen, it's so sparkly!

*I'll posts supplies at the bottom of the post*

This fun project I made is a treat package, or you can use it to wrap something small like earrings, a necklace, or a gift card. I used our Scallop envelope Big Shot die to make the box, with a little alteration. I'll post a tutorial of how to create this later.

Here are four 3x3 gift cards I made. Aren't they so small and cute?! I love little cute things. I've packaged them in a mini brown paper sack with a gorgeous bow. I cut a bit of the top of the bag off, then used my Scallop Border punch to make a fun edge! Isn't that fun?!

How would you like to win the set of four 3x3 cards in the cute brown bag?! Leave a comment on my blog about your favorite Christmas tradition, and I'll draw for you to win. You have until December 1st to post. One entry per person, please.

Thanksgiving Week 3

Here is my third week of Thanksgiving project. Can you believe it?! Time flies.

I've created a card and a matching treat container. I just love the set Day of Gratitude. It's so pretty and it's very versatile. You can use it for a spring card, a Christmas card, anything your imagination can come up with! ( I did case this from another stamper on Splitcoast Stampers, thank goodness us crafters think copying is a form of flattery!)

See what I mean...gorgeous stamp set! I used the rock n' roll technique to create the coloring on the acorn.

My treat container was made using the Candy Wrapper Die from the Holiday Mini. I've got to say, this guy is teenie, but he packs a whollop when it comes to cuteness!
I decided to cut off most of the tabs of the bottom of the candy wrapper so I could make a flat bottom. Perfect for a treat for Thanksgiving guests! Maybe some after dinner mints!

Don't you love the gold embossing on the colored cardstock? That gets a wow every time!

Thanksgiving Week 2: Sweet Sunday Sketch 86 - Grateful Greetings

Here is another fun sketch from The Sweetest Thing.

Here is what I created...I just love it!
I would love to mail a bunch of these to friends/family, but with all those layers and embellishments, the postage would be horrible!
I did some spongeing on the scallop circle. The sentiment strip is on dimensionals. I love the technique of tying the ribbon through the brad...it's fun to do that with fabric! The Vanilla circle was cut using the Circle Scissor plus. I'd like to demonstrate it, I'm trying to get brave enough to try video tutorials!
Supplies
Cardstock: Marina Mist (item 119682), Cajun Craze (119684), Crumb Cake (120953), Very Vanilla (101650).

Thanksgiving Week 1

I wanted to post some Thanksgiving card ideas. I know that some of us don't send Thanksgiving cards, but I like too. I think it gives me a reason to make cards, and buy stuff. LOL!

Here is my card, the colors were a challenge from my upline, Julie. These were her October colors, but I think it looks nice for Fall also.

I hope you enjoy this card, I wasn't sure about it at first, but it's grown on me...good thing, because it's on my blog for all to see now!

Supplies
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight (item 119683), Tangerine Tango (111349), Basic Black (121045), Hostess Designer Series Pack In Color (121028)

Circle Circus

The set Circle Circus wasn't my favorite at first. But, it's growing on me quickly. It's very versatile!

This first card is a fall card. Very simple but pretty! The colors I used are Pear Pizzazz, Tangerine Tango, and Concord Crush.

I love using sets like this for holiday cards. Here is a Christmas card using this great set! I also love this color combination. I've used it in a previous project here on my blog. The colors are Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip, and So Saffron. I also used the set Many Merry Messages for the sentiment.
Thanks for coming by to look at my projects today. My Thanksgiving ideas are coming up soon. Can you believe it?! Almost Thanksgiving. Wow.

Thanks for visiting!

Have a Great day!

Fall Medallion

This card was made using the background stamp Medallion. I also used the Leaves #2 die for the Big Shot. I embossed the leaves using the Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing folder, the Finial Press Textured Impressions Embossing folder, and the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing folder.

I inked the stamp with So Saffron classic ink, then rocked the Cajun Craze classic ink pad around the edges, then using a Sponge Dauber, I inked on some Perfect Plum classic ink. I stamped the saying "thankful thoughts of you" from the Grateful Greetings stamp set in perfect plum over the Medallion image.

I like how this turned out, a simple card, but nice.

Halloween Week 4

This will be my last Halloween Post for the year. Awww, I know, right?! But that means we get closer to Christmas! YIPPEE!

I decided to make a treat container for this last post. I used our Candy Wrapper Big Shot Die, embossed it with the Web embossing folder, glittered up a bat that I punched out and covered in glue, added a brad and some ribbon and look what a cute package you get!

I just lo-ove that green glittery bat! GAWGEOUS! Glitter is so messy, but look at the results you get! I altered the Candy Wrapper, I made the bottom flat, and I didn't twist the top, I just closed the flaps together with a Glimmer Brad.

Thanks for visiting today, keep coming back to see the fall projects I have in store for you.

Falling Leaves and a Color Challenge

I wanted to use the set Falling Leaves and was thinking of a color combination. So, I found this color combo at the Color Throwdown blog. Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron. YUMMY! What a combination!

I really love these colors together. The combination would be great for a Christmas card...I may get working on that!

For this second card, I decided to do more texture. So, I used the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing folder. I also used Pear Pizzazz Poly-Stitched ribbon and Poppy Parade DSP from the Hostess In Color Designer Series paper pack.

I went with a Monochromatic look for this last card. I used Poppy Parade and a bit of Chocolate Chip cardstock. I used a wheel called Bright Blessings.

I hope you liked these cards and the color combination. I am going to work on a Christmas project with these same colors!

Thanks!!

Birthday Bakery

Today I made a card using our hostess set Birthday Bakery. It has some really cute images in it and some fun sayings.

This image is fun because you can color it, as I did here. Or you can stamp it on the white paper, then stamp again on patterned paper, cut out the bag, glue it on the white, and it's done! Paper peicing is so fun, I think I'm going to have to do a couple of posts featuring it!

The other supplies I used on this card are Real Red cardstock, Early Espresso cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Brights DSP Patterns Stack, Scallop edge punch, Bitty Buttons, and Real Red Grosgrain ribbon. I adhered the clear buttons with Crystal Effects. That's the best way I have found to use clear buttons, and not see the adhesive.

It's easy to earn this cute hostess set. Contact me to find out how!

ABC Holiday Bundle: Tags til Christmas and Decorative Label punch

I'm featuring today, the bundle Tags til Christmas and Decorative label punch. You recieve both for only $38.32 for woodmounted stamps and only $31.92 for clear mount stamps. (If you choose clear mount, you will need to purchase clear blocks)

I decided to create a Mini Pizza Box. I will post soon, a tutorial on how to create this box.

I made a belly band to go around the pizza box, and decorated the band with one of the stamps from the set and punched it out with the decorative label punch.

Inside there are five 3x3 cards that I decorated as well. All the stamped images are from the Tags til Christmas set. All the cards and box were made using Real Red cardstock, Garden Green cardstock, Chocolate Chip cardstock and Whisper White cardstock. On the box I used some Early Espresso Grosgrain ribbon.

I used the Ornament Punch and the Basic Adhesive Rhinestones on this card.

On this card, I used the Scallop Oval punch and the 3/4" x 5/16" Oval punch.

I punched out this cute Santa suit with the Large Tag punch!

I stamped "Do Not Open til Christmas" in Chocolate Chip ink, then punched it out with the 1" Circle punch.

This fun snowman was stamped in Real Red ink, then punched with the 1 3/4" circle punch. To make him extra fun, you could add some Dazzling Diamonds glitter with some 2Way glue!

I'm having a Holly Jolly Stamp Camp on November 13th at my house. This is one of the prizes that I will be giving away! If you are interested in coming to the Camp, contact me and let me know, and I will give you details.
